The defender is unhappy with the new contract
he has been offered, while the club are trying to sign David De Gea to replace
their club captain
After
ending last season trophyless, Madrid opted to dismiss coach Carlo Ancelotti
and replace him with Rafa Benitez, while changes to the playing staff are
expected over the summer.
Ramos
is considering quitting as he is unhappy with the new contract he
has been offered and Casillas is edging towards a move to Porto 25 years after
joining Madrid as a schoolboy.
Manchester
United goalkeeper David De Gea has been lined up as a replacement, but though
Gento envisages Casillas moving on, he believes Ramos is going nowhere.
"He's
not going to go," the iconic winger is quoted as saying by AS at a charity event on Tuesday.
"Sergio is going to stay.
"I
do not know about Iker. I do not want him to leave. But I have my doubts."
Meanwhile,
Gento was asked during a question and answer session with the
children in attendance whether he had played with current Madrid superstar
Cristiano Ronaldo.
The
81-year-old replied: "No, but I played with others as good as him.
I played with Alfredo Di Stefano, who was the best, and Ferenc
Puskas."
Gento
spent 18 years with Madrid, winning 12 Liga titles and six European Cups.
